New Ride

IMG_0624
Finally after almost three weeks of patience, my new ride have arrived and i can pick it up from the showroom in Proton Edar Mutiara Damansara today....yahooo!! I could not sleep well these past few days, excited to own new MPV. This morning at 10 am i registered the new MPV at JPJ Padang Jawa and later around 2 pm, i took the new car from my SA. Shiny new toys....mmmm

Yes i booked the latest model from Proton, the crown Jewel of Proton's 26 years of experiences producing Malaysian national car, the first MPV from Proton.

Specifications of my chosen model, its 1.6 Auto with M-Line Pyrite Brown colour (Proton Exora Automatic comes with Medium-Line and High-Line, differences of RM6,000). My SA told me that some of his customers booked the H-Line for this specific colour would have to wait for 3-4 months..lucky me. It cost me RM69,998 OTR, for H-Line model, you would be given a GPS, semi leather seats, an on-board DVD player, fog lamps and spoiler, pre-tinted windows. I already own a GPS (Garmin Nuvi 255W - bought in Eire, last Christmas) and i do not need DVD as it would make my new car a target for those drug-addict thief!

There are a lots of skeptics out there claiming to be Malaysian but condemn everything that associated with Proton. My views is simple, you work hard for your money and as a consumer you would prefer choosing the best quality in products, that's fine with me. If you choose foreign MPV, it would cost your around and maybe more than RM100,000...good luck that, that's your choice. But for me and other Malaysian that choose to support in buying Protons, we are not only buying our own brands and products made by Malaysian hands, we also empowering ourselves in building our economy by stopping our cash outflow to Japan, Korea and Europe. Constructive comments towards Proton are encourage as it will make Proton to evaluate its efforts and strategy. There is no such things as the perfect product, even with strict R & D routines, we might encounter some faulty products. Damaging comments from so called Malaysian Proton bashers is puzzling as it would make them look like moron complaining that their own shit smells (seperti meludah ke langit!).

Its time to enjoy my ride, well i really believe i deserved this as i been using my legs, my scooter and public transportation to get around these past 6 months...only god know what i've gone through.
