What a way to start your Monday with 10km run. That’s exactly what i’ve did this morning in conjunction with Malaysia’s Day public holiday.
ACTraining Run Group lead by my friend – Alex Au-Yong the ExtraMiler with coach Edan, came down to Putrajaya this morning to conduct this training. It’s focus is on the beginners. The run started around 6:30 am after warming up session with Coach Edan, runners can choose to do either 5km or 10km run.
The 5km loops is around the Palace of Justice (PoJ), 10km runners need to completes two loops. Water and fruits were provided to all. I came down to shows supports and do my recovery run at my neighbourhood.
Alex said that this is one of the company’s (Athlete’s Circle) way of giving back to the community, instead just selling shoes; they provides training on how to run properly. Bravo AC, we hope this kind of trainings will continues on – we need to promote healthy lifestyles and convert more couch potatoes into runners :)
If you interested to join this training / running group, just check out their FB page at https://www.facebook.com/ACTraining.
They normally organise training every Wednesday’s night at Dataran Petaling (opposite Amcorp Mall), and it’s FREE. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the best runners in the country.
