Chap Ayam PoJ-Bagan Lalang Fun Ride

Last Saturday i completed my longest ride ever. 106km.

My prior longest ride was at Powerman Malaysia – 64km

About 30 cyclist from Chap Ayam group committed to this event, special thanks to Hailmi and Orenman for organizing this fun ride.

Orenman was the marshall driving support car that day, great support in ensuring the cyclist safety all the way.

The pace was relatively easy and thankfully all riders completed the ride from PoJ-Bagan Lalang-PoJ. No major incidents occurred, just minor tyre puncture. That’s the norm for cyclist, just prepared the spare tubes.

Unlike running or other sports, cyclist’s solidarity is apparently shown. Nobody get left behind, when one cyclist punctured his/her tyre, everybody stopped and help.

Gathering time was at 7:30 am, but we only started cycling after 8:30 am. The weather that morning was great, started a bit chilly and getting warms a time goes on.

We arrived at Bagan Lalang just in time for lunch. 53km cycling completed, easy part done.

After filing our tummy and lots of camwhoring around Bagan Lalang, we soon left for Putrajaya.

Now the weather it’s getting hotter, but after running through the oven temperature of Craze Ultra, this should be nothing for me. Besides, unlike running, you get flowing air to cool you down a bit while cycling.

We arrived back at PoJ just before 3 pm. It took us 6:25 hours to complete the 106km ride. In actual fact, my moving time was 4:04 hours – the rest 2 hours plus was spending camwhoring, changing punctured tyre, waiting for other cyclist at rally points etc.

I guess cycling is getting addictive and i’m improving as time goes by.  Still green though,  but i’m no longer intimated by em’ hills, now i looking forward to more hills. Here’s to more ride in near future :)
