Conclusion of a dream

flashrayong

A shout out to my buddy this lovely Sunday Morning.

Congrats Fazli Nawi finally a sub-5 Marathon at Rayong Marathon in Thailand.

It’s worth wait after all the obstacles you been through mate. It's sounded like a joke when i challenged you to a sub-5 Marathon at PBIM, well a reverse physiology is my best forte. I knew you had the potential, all you need just a little "push".

I am glad that you took up the challenge and made it happened at Rayong Marathon. Magic always happened in Thailand.

Congrats buddy, you overcome your own fears and frustration, you smashed your limit and tear that sub 5 wall to pieces. I am proud of you buddy, it's normal runner like you with job and family that inspires me the most!

For those not familiar Fazli's story, let me brief you folks.

Doctor told him he should gave up running coz he was too heavy and the all road pounding was damaging to his knees. True enough he was injured, had meniscus tear injury and went for knee operation.

It was hard on him i know, not able to run and watched from sideline while his friends running and breaking new boundaries. But one great thing about him, he never gave up! After the operation, he slowly started running and training at his own pace.

A year after the operation, he completed his first 100km Ultra Marathon which he dedicated to his late father. Now he proved to the doubters that all you need is passion and a little bit of push from your lunatic running friend (that's me hehe).

All those early morning runs and late night second run finally paid off, all i can say i am proud of you mate. Keep on running, run far and run safe.
